![]() The book also mentions some interesting Tantric information on chakras which is very interesting indeed - but seems to represent one (un-named) tantric source or tradition.Īll in all, a very interesting read and a really great book to buy for those interested in intelligent dark magics. It does provide perhaps more information than other books on the topic (Michael Ford's work) and perhaps builds upon Kenneth Grants Nightside of Eden. Whilst it is a very informative and indepth book, like many occult books, it does to some degree represent an advert for the authors occult order - Dragon Rouge - which is fine - nothing wrong in that at all, good to make people aware of these traditions. I found the final chapter where some of the experiences of the members of Dragon Rougue with the Goetia to be really interesting - especially the chap who summons the blackbird in the woods. The author does a great job of descrbing these forces, the methods of working with them and the inherent dangers in doing so. Indeed, from some perspectives it can be seen as a manual of dark magic. This book tackles a somewhat taboo area in magick and qabalism - the sitra ahra or the tree of death - the reverse tree and so called imbalanced forces on the tree of life. A unique collection of all the sigils from the classic grimoires Lemegeton: The Lesser Key of Solomon and the infamous Grimorium Verum are also included. Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic contains more than one hundred demonic sigils and pieces of art that were created specifically for this book. Several examples of rituals, meditations, magical exercises and occult correspondences can be found within. The theories that are presented in this book are also linked to practice. The book deals with the problem of evil, the symbolism behind the fall of Lucifer and mans creation process according to Qabalistic philosophy. ![]() ![]() By exploring and not by repressing the Shadow it can be transformed from a destructive force into a creative power. Instead of ignoring and denying the dark side, the author reveals, step by step, how man can get to know his Shadow and, through this, reach a deeper knowledge of the Self. The main thread of the book is the exploration of the Qliphoth and the dark mysteries which have for so long been a repressed part of western esotericism. Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic is a unique practical introduction to magic.
